    Introduction to the Center

Jiangsu Collaborative Innovation Center for Building Energy Saving and Construction Technology is the second group of collaborative innovation plan construction project approved by the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province in 2014. It is constructed by the leadership of Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Architecture Technology under the collaboration of China University of Mining and Technology, Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University Co., LTD, Nanjing University, Longxin Construction Group Co., LTD, Third Construction Institute of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp. LTD, Jiangsu Zhongnan Construction Industry Group Co. LTD, Zhongyifeng Construction Group Corp, LTD, Zhongru Construction Engineering Group Co. LTD, Jiangsu Urban and Rural Construction Vocational College, Xuzhou Natural Resource and Planning Bureau, and Xuzhou Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau. The center focuses on scientific problems related with building energy saving and construction technology. It is engaged in scientific studies, product development, engineering design, talent training, policy guidance, industrialization of research results and social services in the fields of building energy saving techniques, new building energy-saving materials, new construction technologies and construction safety technologies.

Aiming at the overall objective of “carbon peak”, “carbon neutrality” and “powerful, rich, beautiful and high-tech”, the center sticks to the strategic positioning of “serving Jiangsu and radiating to the Yangtze River Delta”, implements the new development philosophy of innovation, coordination, green, open and sharing, takes the initiative to explore the collaborative innovation mechanism integrating “government, universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises” under the new situations in accordance to the construction philosophy of “standing on the frontline construction technologies, high standards and characteristics”, promotes the deep integration of new theories, new technologies and industrial application needs, improves the strength and technological research & development level of the research team, and constructs a high-level top-class collaboration innovation base that takes the leading role in Jiangsu Province.

With considerations to great strategic needs for modernized development of the construction industry in China, the center optimizes the innovation organization system and policies, and tries to make demonstrations for the collaboration innovation system and institutional reform; launches technological innovation and social services, and trains more engineering construction and management talents with professional knowledge and practice abilities; makes an example in promoting high-quality industrial development; builds high-level top-class collaboration innovation platform that takes the leading role in Jiangsu Province, and provides technological and intelligent supports to sustainable development of the construction industry.
